Railway Metrics and Dynamics’ bid for the Swedish Transport Administration’s tender “COM-4015140, Innovation Procurement – Regarding further development, validation and delivery of new information services for automated measurement of the railway infrastructure”, has today been accepted.
The procurement is carried out in several stages, and today’s assignment means that Railway Metrics and Dynamics AB has been assigned a contract. The company’s total tender price at this stage is SEK 7.326 million.
”This announcement means a lot to the company, as we now get to work with a whole new category of customers, i.e. monitoring of fixed infrastructure. Our current customers are mainly rolling stock”, says Jan Lindqvist, CEO of Railway Metrics and Dynamics AB.
Increased automation and digitalization will enable more condition-based and predictive maintenance of assets. This contributes to better punctuality and increased competitiveness.
”Our goal is that an increasing share of both passenger and freight transport shifts to rail. We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration and know that our technology is right for this assignment,” says Jan Lindqvist, CEO of Railway Metrics and Dynamics.
With this procurement, the Swedish Transport Administration wants to leave the research phase and in the long term implement new solutions, methods and tools to increase the safety and punctuality of the Swedish railway infrastructure.
”If we quickly want to create an efficient, reliable and climate-smart mode of transport that can meet the needs of the future, we need to think in more innovative ways. RMD’s unique platform uses predictive analytics and machine learning to help secure operations in a railway system that is constantly growing in scale and complexity,” says Jan Lindqvist, CEO of Railway Metrics and Dynamics.
