Railway Metrics and Dynamics conducts a current state analysis for LKAB within logistics development with a focus on sensor technology
Railway Metrics and Dynamics (RMD) has been commissioned to carry out a current state analysis as part of the first phase of LKAB’s logistics development program.
The initiative is driven by LKAB’s ambition to achieve fewer failures, lower costs, increased delivery capability, stronger collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration, and higher production capacity ahead of upcoming expansions through technological development.
RMD conducts a current state analysis of LKAB’s operations as part of the development program
Phase 1 of the development program is based on idea generation and analysis. During this phase, RMD will carry out a current state analysis of LKAB’s operations. This includes:
- analysis of the current situation,
- formulation of a desired target state, and
- development of activities to reach the target state.
Based on this work, RMD—drawing on its expertise in sensor technology, AI, and machine learning—will describe its view of LKAB’s current position, identify development areas, and propose concrete activities and initiatives related to the delivery of sensors.
