ProTrain Signs Call-Off Agreement with Railway Metrics and Dynamics for Rear-view Camera Following Successful Test Period
Following a successful test period, ProTrain has chosen to sign a call-off agreement with Railway Metrics and Dynamics (RMD), enabling the company to order additional rear-view camera systems as needed.
ProTrain is a Swedish railway company providing services in training, staffing, and rail operations. Its activities include locomotive driver training, the supply of qualified personnel to the railway industry, and its own freight, shunting, and terminal operations in Sweden and Norway.
Earlier this year, ProTrain installed two of RMD’s rear-view cameras for evaluation in its operational environment. Following a successful test period, the companies have now entered into a call-off agreement that gives ProTrain the flexibility to order additional camera systems in line with future operational requirements.
As a first step, the two existing camera systems will transition from test use to permanent operation.
“It is very rewarding to see the continued progress of our rear-view camera solution and, above all, the positive feedback from our customers. It confirms that the solution delivers real value in daily operations, both by enhancing safety and improving productivity,” says Knut Tisell, Sales and Project Manager at RMD.
