Railway Metrics and Dynamics Expands Its Patent Portfolio with New Patent for Railcar Weight Measurement
The Swedish Intellectual Property Office (Patent- och Registreringsverket in Swedish) has recently announced its approval of the company’s patent application for technology used to measure railcar weight.
The patent covers an additional variation of the technology that enables accurate weight measurement. The solution contributes to more efficient loading processes, improved data reliability, and enhanced safety in freight transportation.
“This demonstrates our ongoing development efforts and our commitment to the digitalization of the railway industry. Reliable weight data creates significant opportunities for both operators and infrastructure managers,” says Jan Lindqvist, CEO of Railway Metrics and Dynamics.
The patent will formally enter into force during the autumn of 2026.
